Integration with News/Forum scripts

I am pretty new to gallery2, but I think so far its the best gallery system out there. I have seen it solo, and I am looking into how to modify the theme to suit my needs.

What I am looking for is something that allows me to create a "News" module, or integrate a "Forum" module. (News is much more important!) Similar to a CMS like php-fusion/mambo/joomla/runcms/xoops.

I want that capability, to have different sections, with the gallery being one, and news another, and the forum another. All with integrated security.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

there are existing integrations into phpbb, smf, vbulletin and maybe other forums too.
there's no news module for g2.
there's no forums module either.

if you want news + forum + gallery, you're probably best served with an integration with a CMS like joomla, drupal, xaraya, ...

OK. Thats what I thought, but I wanted to ask and find out.

I have tried the joomla integration, and its pretty cool. The layout looks off, but thats probably b/c i have not fixed the gallery2 theme to fit into the joomla theme.

I have also tried xaraya, and i like it too, but i have not seen an integration bewteen the two. Is there someplace you can point me to? (Ill try to google it too!)

I have never tried drupal, but ill look into it as well.
