Allowing Gallery 2 photos to be inserted as images into Forum Posts

Hi

I run Gallery 2 and phpBB next to each other at http://www.sourdough.com.au

We would like users to be able to be able to insert photos from the gallery into the forum.

Right clicking on a gallery 2 photo reveals "Copy image location". The image location is then inserted in the forum as follows:

[img]http://www.sourdough.com.au/gallery/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=3434&g2_serialNumber=1[/img]

However the image does not show in the Forum post.
Any Ideas?

The fact that the image has appeared in this forum post (as above..I was very surprised!) suggests that i have a problem with my phpBB forum, rather than Gallery 2. Please let me know if you know of any known issues between G2 and phpBB.

A related issue...

Does Gallery 2 have a feature to show the image location URL of gallery images?

I notice that right-clicking on a gallery image in Firefox shows the image location, but Explorer does not do this.

We would like to give users easy access to the image URL.

just enable the url rewrite module. phpbb can only deal with g2's short urls.
site admin -> modules.

and the user contributed "formatted urls" module shows the urls without right-clicks.
codex.gallery2.org -> user contributions

Thank you valiant.

The URL rewrite module worked without issue.

I did try to install "formatted urls" but it appears my version of gallery2 needs upgrading to the latest one first. Shall upgrade in the coming weeks.
