digikam, KIPI plugins, and Gallery2

Does the KIPI plugin for gallery export work on Gallery2?

I have tried but I haven't been able to make it work yet.

There is a patch to kipi-plugins that seems to work. So one of the next versions of kipi-plugins will support Gallery2

Thanks was looking for a while to get this, however its in now?
