add comments to photos only globally.

Hi all,

I know the "add comments" have been discussed to death but I haven't found what I'm looking for. I want guests to be able to add comment to photos only, not albums. I know how to edit permissions on the albums so guests can add comments but this effects the albums and photos. Is there one place I can add comments on photos instead of editing every individual photo?

there's no global switch, no.

but you can first add the "add comments" permission with the "apply to subitems" checkbox checked,
then remove the "add comments" permission with the "apply to subitems" checkbox unchecked. this will remove the permission from the album only, leaving the permission for the children / sub items.

do the remove permission without apply to subitems thing for all your albums...

yeah, a global setting would be nice.
