Where is my validate albums script?

Hi. I'm trying to do the big move (from Gallery v1.4.4 to 2.0.2), but I can't even get past step 4 on the directions page, where it says to run the validate albums script. I don't see any mention of this script on my main Gallery page, nor do I even have an "Admin" or "options" page...the only thing appearing on my main page are the following:

[documentation] [configuration wizard] [find orphans] [new album] [manage users] [preferences]

Can someone suggest what to do please? Should I upgrade to a newer Gallery 1.x version? Should I skip validating albums?

should be in the same place as "find orphans" is, i was told. and i was told, it was available in 1.4.x
in gallery admin.
