I've recently taken the plunge into website development. My first project was getting a web accessible database running (on a Linux FC4/Apache2.0.55/MySQL5.0/PHP 5.05 box). My second project was finding and intalling a good photo gallery. Doing some homework I realized Gallery2 looked like my best bet so I gave it a shot. The installation, configuration and theme customization ('borrowed' greypop) have been a breeze. I now have gallery running perfectly for two sites! The installation and configuration were so slick... by far the easiest of everything I've setup on my webserver! I'm sure you all hear a lot of complaints etc. I figured a success story could be refreshing! I'm hooked. Gallery2 is a great product and I'm sure I'll be using it for a long time! Same here, installed it 2 days ago, and with some reading up here in the forums I was able to integrate it with my mainsite which is on another server !
Incredible embedding support and real easy to install. Big thumbs up to all the developpers and contributors.
