Hi,
for a number of participants of an event I would like to use gallery2 (2.0.2) as a platform for sharing pictures. The album should be only read- and writeable by participants or nearby persons.
Of course, the clearest way would be to create a group "event" and add a user to this group for every participant. Doing this involves a lot of administration work for me and users have to remeber their own login/password information. Addittionaly I don't have all mail adresses of all participants at hand.
The obvious simplier solution would be to create only one login/password combination and let all people use the same account. Every paticipant could create his own sub-album. This way I can write a mail to all adresses I know of with the please to give the login information to other participants they know of.
Are there any sideeffects if multiple persons login with the same account at the same time to upload or view pictures? Will different sessions with the same account interfere with each other?
Thanks for your responses.

all people who share the same user account can change the user account settings, e.g. the password. so if one of your friends changes the password, others can no longer login...
else, there shouldn't be any issues.

Yeah, this is absoltely clear. I think they are responsible enough. ;-)
I meant, that perhaps some sessions related information (picture selection etc.) is linked to the user account, so that the system gets confused. But if this is not the case I prefer the solution with only one account.

you can have multiple active sessions for the same username. so the session related data won't be confused between your users, even if they use the same account.
