I've looked everywhere but can't find the info. I know in G1 you can have the option to have newest pictures in front of the gallery. Anyway we can go that in G2 also? Also I can't find the universal gallery option (how many rows, etc), I've been having to do that for each gallery and sub gallery indivually and having a little over a dozen total folders it can get tedious.

Thanks in advance as always

you can sort by creation date, descending in
site admin -> themes

but if you choose manual sort order, new items will be added at the end.

you can file a feature request to also allow adding new items at the beginning for manual sort order.

I was aware of that sorting option, but doesn't really help me. For example, most guests won't look at the entire album everytime they visit so having newest additions at front would make more sense for me especially if you have thousands of picts inside a dozen folders, so if you upload a dozen picts at a time per day it's kind of tedious to manually move each picture individually. Or I want all the galleries to have X/Y rows/columns, how can I change that universally instead of individually. Seems like alot of basic options from G1 was dropped. Anyways I'll file a request I guess. Thanks again.

Sort by picture added date, reversed. Poof, new images are at the beginning.

There was no "universal" setting for col/rows in G1. There was a "default" and all new albums used this default. In G2, exactly where valiant told you to look you will find this "default" setting for G2, which also allows you to pick to inherit settings from the parent *or* from the "default" setting.

Recursive settings *are* what is missing, so changing the col/rows for existing albums is quite hard :(

Thats being worked on though :)
