How can I hide a photo or an album?

I've just upgraded to gallery2 from gallery1. The problem is:
I don't know how to hide or show a photo/album.

Any help?

in g2 you can either show an item /album or not.
there's not yet a hidden albums feature, that is, "don't see it listed, but you can browse to it" doesn't yet exist.

show / don't show an album / item:
- browse to the album / item,
- click edit permissions
- remove / add the "view item" permission from the everybody group
