How to upload a file and enter the additional fields at the same time ?

I just installed the "additional fields" module, and just can insert a file, then edit its additional items

How do I insert a file and its fields at the same time ?
also how can I insert the summary or description field (i have the only option to "assign caption to... " )

i guess you mean the "customfields" module.

you mean "add item" and add customfields values at the same time? not yet possible. you can file a feature request on http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ -> RFE

Hello!
First of all - thanks for the great gallery! It's really nice!
Just wanted to ask if there are any news on the described feature - filling in custom field before upload. Anyone having any ideas on how to do this? Any hack available?

no news, nope.
maybe file a feature request on http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ -> RFE and check http://gallery.menalto.com/sfvote/all
