Gallery Remote https on a Mac?

Hi, just downloaded the latest Gallery Remote 1.5.1b1. My gallery is stored on an https server with an untrusted cert, however the instructions in the GR docs on how to use this anyways only work on Windows. How can a Mac user like myself log in via https? The site cert is in my keychain already, is there something else I have to do?
