Error when I click on Site Admin in Gallery 2

	On my site when I click on Site Admin I get the following error Not Found The requested URL /gallery2/admin/ was not found on this server. Why would that be? Shouldn't this directory be created when I installed Gallery 2?

	no, that's a "virtual" directory or what ever you'd call it. it doesn't exist. we're using mod_rewrite to redirect requests in a smart way. for some reason that doesn't work on your installation. deactivate the URL rewrite module. FAQ: Images don't show up and the album / photo links don't work, what can I do?

	I tried the things that it said to do here but neither of them worked. Apart from getting this error when I try to go to site admin, i can't view any of the images in the albumns I put up, it can see the albumns but the images aren't there??

	it's the first case of the faq link i added in my first reply. you need to access site admin with the gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.SiteAdmin link and then disable the url rewrite module.
