G1 --> G2 Migration Problem

I try to migrate from g1 to g2 and i get the error path not valide..but it is valide because i quad checked it and even copied the full path from the g1 config file. anyone have any ideas?

Obviously you quad checked the wrong thing 4 times. Your G1 /albums/ dir path wouldn't even come from your G2 config file. It would come from your G1 config.php file and would almost certainly end with something like "/albums" (ie, /var/www/domain.com/htdocs/albums). It is looking for your albums directory, NOT your gallery directory. Its possible that your albums directory is *IN* your gallery directory, so it might be something ending in /gallery/albums (ie, /var/www/domain.com/htdocs/gallery/albums).

i edited my first post due to an error...and i did check the full path and i DO know that it needs to be the albums directory. i was on irc last week and no one had a clue...aka i was told to come here.

the path to my g1 albums folder..
/home/httpd/vhosts/willlangford.com/httpdocs/gallery/albums

ideas anyone..?

Okay, in this case then I would suggest running the validate albums and find orphans tool in G1, to make sure everything with your G1 /albums/ dir is kosher. Your G1 works, so I have to assume it is 98% (or more) just fine. At this point, I would try making a php file named "dir.php" with "<?php echo exec('pwd'); ?>" inside it, then placing it in your /albums/ directory. Its possible that what you think the path is and what the webserver thinks it is are quite different, especially in the case of chrooted environments.

If that fails, I think I would say "OMGWTFBBQ" :)

i KNOW the path on my webserver is what it is..and i did run that and the path is correct. anyone else have ideas?

Could you post the output of an ls -alh of your /albums/ directory?

If you PM me an admin l/p along with some of your server paths, I might be able to take a look at it tonight. Be sure to make it a temp account that you can delete when done.

You could try putting G2 into buffered or logged debug mode and looking (and posting?) the output, there might be some clues in there.
