Hy, i want to add albums from the shell, like the g2add.pl for pictures because I want to automate some migrations from my old picturearchive (not gallery). Second I want to automate some archive updates. Because i rsync some archives on filesystemlayer and then create albums for the new ones and import the new pictures. The reason for this ist: I have 3 people who use a external tool with itpc support. When they update some IPTC info in the pictures I want to reimport the albums an pictures. Maybe there is a perl/shell tool outside to add albums in gallery2? Maybe a tool to remove pictures/albums from gallery2?! I would be very happy. regards from munich |

g2add.pl
as for the other questions: no there are no known shell tools to do such things.

sorry, but the help output from the g2add.pl show me only how i add a photo, but i don't find anything to add a album.
Maybe i am blind ;) but please tell me how to add a album with g2add.pl.

thanks for this! This is not exacly what i want, because on the first view i can add albums only in the root album, but i take a second view ;-)
