Hi,

I'm trying to install a completely new version of Gallery 2. I have come as far as step 3 Systems Check. All systems check ok accept Gallery file integrity. I've gotten a warning that 1019 files were modified. I have uploaded the modified files several times now. I have even extracted all the original files again (at my home computer) with Stuff it Expander instead of the default extracting program from Windows XP and nothing seems to work. I keep getting the message that I have 1019 modified files and the files I have uploaded a few times keep coming back as modified files.

Is there any solution to get this working, so that I can do the next step of the installation?

In the attachment you can see what I mean. I haven't included the list of files that are modified, seen the fact it more then a thousand of them.....

Here's all the information asked:

Gallery version (not just "2"): Gallery2 (developer version)
PHP version (e.g. 4.3.11): 4.3.10
PHPInfo Link (see FAQ): http://www.ilsesjournal.com/phpinfo.php
Webserver (e.g. Apache 1.3.33): Apache version 1.3.33 (Unix)
Database (e.g. MySql 4.0.11): MySQL version 4.0.24-standard
Activated toolkits (e.g. NetPbm, GD): GD 2
Operating system (e.g. Linux): Linux
Browser (e.g. Firefox 1.0): Firefox 1.0.7

I hope someone can help me with this problem!

Regards,
Ilse

Did you try to re-download the original file, and remove all files from the server before re-transferring them?

h0bbel:
I have tried to do this too and it doesn't help one bit, unfortunately. I can't seem to get it to work.

I have checked it already and as you can see above no of the things work. I didn't have any errors during the upload (at least Filezilla isn't giving any errormesasges), I have tried two different archiving systems (windows XP and Stuff It Expander). I don't have another file, but since I don't get any errormessages there, I had the idea the problem couldn't be in there......
And I do not have OSX.

Are there anymore things I could try?

Ilse

ask your webhost to download the file for you from sourceforge and extract it on the server.

this is an old topic and probably not about quite the same question / issue you're experiencing.

please start a new forum topic and describe your case.
thanks.
