i am a silly man. not only did i leave out some very important info i figured it out all by myself.

i copied a theme to mess with and that was the whole problem.

-----nothing to see here -----------------

i have recently installed G2 locally on my mac iBook (system 10.4) and run into a minor snag. for whatever reason i cannot access the theme page from site admin. i have read the requirements for posting support topics and will provide what information i can. unfortunately i cannot post a link to my install or to my php info. i can post the system info and here it is :

Gallery version = 2.0 core 1.0.0
PHP version = 4.3.11 apache
Webserver = Apache/1.3.33 (Darwin) PHP/4.3.11
Database = mysql 4.0.24-standard
Toolkits = ArchiveUpload, Exif, Gd
Operating system = Darwin tcsLittleBox.local 8.2.0 Darwin Kernel Version 8.2.0: Fri Jun 24 17:46:54 PDT 2005; root:xnu-792.2.4.obj~3/RELEASE_PPC Power Macintosh
Browser = Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.12) Gecko/20050915 Firefox/1.0.7

i only have the base installed modules and debugger running. i have not modified the standard mac install PHP/Apache/MySQL.

all other links from site admin work just fine. thanks in advance for your time.

be more precise, what does " cannot access theme page" mean? what happens?

and what's your php memory limit?
