I would like to add 800x800 and 1024x1024, to the active "Resized Images" for all of the albums in my site. I would also like to make the 800x800 the default.

I have figured out where to make it on a single album, but I have 80+ albums. How can I change the setting for all of my albums?

I already figured out where to make it regen all the images.

Thanks!

not possible yet. a feature request for this has been filed.
right now you need to do it for each album manually.

Ouch.

Is it possible to set a default and have all the albums get the new setting? (I will just re-import the whole thing.)

Thanks for the quick replies!

i just wrote some changes to the edit album view to make this possible.
it's not ready for prime time though, that's why it's not in g2 yet.
but it works.

http://dev.nei.ch/recursiveApplySizes.tar.gz

replace your modules/core/ItemEditAlbum.inc and modules/core/templates/ItemEditAlbum.tpl files with the ones from the archive.

you got now 2 new check boxes in the edit album view.
if you want to set new thumbnail and resize sizes for your whole Gallery and change also your existing thumbnails and resizes, do the following:
1. go to your top album
2. edit album
3. set new sizes
4. tick 4 check boxes: recreate: both check boxes, Apply thumbnail and resize settings to sub-albums: both checkboxes
5. hit save

this may take very long, depending on your gallery size and your hardware

This is beautiful!

One thing I've noticed, though -- and maybe it's just me -- the changes aren't taking place on the root album.

I go to my root album, go to Edit Album, enter the new thumbnail size, check both "Recreate thumbnails" and "Apply thumbnail size to sub-albums," and the changes take place on all subalbums, but not on the root album. The root album's thumbnails stay the size they were before and the thumbnail-size field reverts back to its previous setting.

Not a big deal because I can simple re-enter the new size, leave "Apply thumbnail size to sub-albums" unchecked and save again, but I thought it was something I might point out.

another developer did the same hack in the same week and it's soon to be committed to the official G2 code.
stay tuned...

Is this in the new g2 code yet?

I copied these to files to the appropriate places and it certainly rebuilt 313 of my 320 images, but it never made any of the re-sized images. Even the 2.02 maint option to regen the re-sized images does not work for me (and yes I did add the image sizes manually to each and every album).

Would running it as a multisite be an issue?

no resize has nothing to do with that.

please create a new topic for your problem, even it seems to be similar.
