G2 Preview? Even just a hint would be nice...

I've just installed 1.3.3 and am going through the process of customising it to my site. It's only human nature, but as I make changes, I also have ideas on new/improved/etc... things which could be done. However, one thing I'd rather not do is spend time on something [I]if[/] an improved version is already in the pipeline. How close is G2 to a beta release? Is it still worth posting design/code changes for v1.3.3? Any pointers are most welcome as well as feedback from others. Thanks for a great product - let's all make it even greater! R. |

G2 is still pre-alpha, with many functions still needing to be written. Don't install it and hope it to work as planned.
G2 will have a way to transfer data/images from G1, so don't worry about loosing pictures with the upgrade.

Also, it is currently planned to maintain G1 even after G2 is released. G1 looks to be the fallback version for anyone that doesn't meet the php and database requirements for G2.
