User quotas for gallery 2.X

I really LOVE gallery and i use it on my aquarium commuinty forum but what I run into most often is that members who have been given permission to upload to the gallery can sometimes upload 500+KB size images and as you know that eats up webspace rather quickly. What would make this the killer gallery app that it should be would be if we could implment quotas on a gallery or on a better yet on a users. This gallery is just as good as any paid gallery out there but many of the paid ones have the ability to set a file quota either on the user level or gallery level. I would love to be able to set a gallery to be 2MB in size or limit image uploads at the user level to be 2MB. Is there any chance that user quotas will make their way into the gallery 2.X development? |

We'll be able to write a module in G2 that provides user and album quotas. It probably won't happen in G2.0, though. It's more likely to happen in G2.1 and beyond.

That would be great. If it wont make 2.0 then I will have to make due until 2.1 or when ever that feature was enabled.
