Importing Albums from Gallery 1 to G2 RC

The following information is required to get an answer:
Get this information from the PHP diagnostic (in the configuration wizard).
Gallery URL (optional but very useful):
Gallery version: 2.0 RC
Apache version: 1.3.33
PHP version (don't just say PHP 4, please): 4.3.11
Graphics Toolkit: imagemagic i think
Operating system: unix server
Web browser/version (if applicable):

Cant get albums to import.

It makes it clear to the screen where it shows the progress bar and imports users but when it get to albums it just freezes on the first one.
