A friend reported problems adding photos with Internet Explorer 6.0. This seems like it might have something to do with the browser as others that I give permissions (through PHPNuke usernames) to add photos to have no problems.

He says he gets an "error on page" message when clicking the add photos link. I am just trying to determine if this is a known problem or not.

Debug mode output to follow soon.

Until then--thank you,
Brett

No answer but you might want to remove the half dozen other posts with the same thing.

Also- this should probably be in the PHP NUKE section?

Would if I could...tried using the edit/delete link and emptying the post but that didn't work. How do you delete a post? My apologies for the repeats. I hit reload once because I was getting no response and now this...

Maybe...but I don't think it is a nuke issue since other nuke users are able to do it without problems using different browsers. I can cross post if it makes you feel better.

Sorry for being so harsh- been a hell of a day website wise, didn't mean to snap.

I thought the delete worked.

I deleted the extra posts. No worries; it happens.

The "[add photos]" link just pops up a javascript window and requests a PHP page
from your webserver. It's pretty straightforward. If it's failing for him, you should
see the request in the Apache access log with an error code, and then hopefully an actual error message in the Apache error log. Let us know what you find.

Bharat,

Thanks for the reply. I found out the problem--something I have been bitten by in the past. This friend was using the domain name w/o the www. prefix and since I chose to cfg Gallery with it then this will cause it to fail. Your suggestion of looking in the logs was essential to finding this--thanks!

It seems that both nuke and gallery have this limitation--where the site acts completely differently depending on the presence of www. or not. I guess I don't understand why as the absolute paths to the content should be the same either way.

Consider me another very impressed and very happy user--thanks for the effort!
