I have downloaded the no_NO translation and unzipped it to the a folder no_NO under the locale folder, including flagimage. The configuration wizard acknowledges the translation and I have selected Norwegian as the default. Also tried all the other language selection options(methods. But the gallery only shows up in English, no matter what I do. The only thing that changes is the data format. All texts are English. |

There are no language packs for the 1.5.1 version yet, they will be available when the final version is released.

Hello Knut,
- are there any warnings in Step 1 of the wizard ?
- Did you have to make any aliases in Step 2 ?

Permissions on the folder?
Can it be something with that?

Just these:
* Apache is not obeying the 'php_value' lines in your .htaccess file.
* Either mod_rewrite is not installed or your .htaccess file is not enabled (see above)
* Missing optional binary pnmcomp.exe
I don't understand what you mean by aliases in this context. In step 2 there is a Languages and locales tab. This tab has a section called System locale selection required (Advanced), but I could'nt undertand the use. I tried all combinations with no luck.
There are two languages avaiable on the tab:
* English (US)
* Norsk bokmål

Thanks for the tip, but I am quite sure there are noe more permission errors, and none are reported. The gallery (php) folder all has common inherited permissions, except for the config.php abd a tmp foler that has modify access. And of course the album folder has modify.
Anything spescial to look for regarding language?

The gallery is just in testing as long as the "admin" account exists. Have a look.

I will install Gallery on a Windows System and do some investigations.
I keep you informed.

Check if you can use my solution to the same problem. Note that this was on a server running Linux, not Windows.
