My Version Gallery 2 Beta 4
Sorry, my english is terrible:

>Comments:
How can I add a comment to a picture, if I have removed the sidebar and the drop-down-menu?
Normaly you have got a comment-form under each picture!?

>Watermarks:
Is there a possibility to batch-watermark all images in an album?

>Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class galleryurlgenerator
After updating from Beta 3 to Beta 4 I get the following error:
http://www.waf-chat.de/gallery2/
I can access the page via: http://www.waf-chat.de/gallery2/main.php

>Pictures in new window
Is there a possibilty to open images in a new window after clicking on a thumbnail?

Thank you very much.

@ comments. Currently there is no other way. In G2 there is not currently an "Add Comment" block to place under each picture.

You can try hacking this together yourself or wait for this to be added. There is already a feature request for this on SourceForge.

@ fatal error: I'm not sure, but it I think that might have something to do with the URL rewrite module. It appears like the redirect to main.php isn't working. Try going into Site Admin > Modules and deactive and uninstall the URL Rewrite module. Then reinstall it and reconfigure it. You'll need to set the permissions on your .htaccess file to at least 666. If you don't currenty have it installed, then try renaming (or deleting) your .htaccess file.

@ pictures in new window. Yes it's possible. You'll want to edit the album.tpl and photo.tpl in your theme's template directory. Be sure to create a local directory under your templates directory and copy the files in there before you edit them.

Search the forums for additional information on just what to change as this has been requested before. I just supplied the information above because the information you'll find refers to files that no longer exist using the old theme/layout system that was in B3 and older.

I don't know the answer to watermarking and your English is better than a lot of Americans ;)

without sidebar and drop down, you can't. we plan to offer a "add comment" block which you can add to the photo (or other) pages. but for now, you'll have to either have to show the item actions or the drop down menu.
alternative: edit the photo.tpl yourself and add a add comment link.
or add the item actions block to photo pages.

no, not yet. if you don't find your feature request in the existing list of feature requests on http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ or in Dev Documents -> feature matrix, you can create your own feature requests.

can you go to http://www.waf-chat.de/gallery2/upgrade/index.php and there go to the system checks step? does it show any warnings? e.g. file integrity or so?

> Pictures in new window:
generally, pop-ups are not very popular and some of us don't like them. but you can change the theme to have images pop up in new windows. e.g. the theme from wpg2 does that. you can get the theme at: http://wpg2.ozgreg.com

btw: your english is very good!

Thank you very much for your help.
I have repaired the fatal-error ..the reason was the "Multisite config.php".
I think an "add-comment-block" would be very usefull. The Pop-Up

Two last questions:
Can I show the number of views and the number of comments under the images (not thumbs) ? Is there a variable that I have to add in the "photo.tpl" ?

Is it possible to have a "statistic-page" with for example the 20 most-viewed pics in a month or the 20 pics with the most comments?

the matrix theme shows the number of comments / views by default under each thumbnail. if the number of comments is zero, you see nothing.

But i don't want them under each thumbnail, but under each full-sized photo..

then you'll have to either create your own block or just edit the themes/matrix/templates/photo.tpl template.
