Cart module + zip download

Hello, I know it is possible to have a "cart" and to fill it with items and get all in a single zip file using gallery 2. Would it be possible to have a flag in the cart or cart/zip module that allows me to control the maximum photo resolution that can be sent? We have quite big photos (8.2 Mpixel camera) and it is very bandwidth consuming to let all our users to download the images in full resolution. Still, it is interesting to let users to download the photos. If possible, it would be nicer even to have some differentiation between registered users and site guests, enabling registered users to download a better image, while still allowing guests to download something.

I'd need to play with it to verify, but this should be able to be done with permissions. For guests you'd set the Everybody group to only what you want them to see and thus be able to download. For your registered users, you'd set the Registered Users group to what you want them to see and thus be able to download. You could do the same for your high res images by only allowing them or certain users or groups of users to see what you want them to see.

Play around a bit and test it out. ;)
