1st page be login page

I want to load login.php as the default page for my gallery and require all users to login to view the albums. What code do I need to modify in login.php to redirect it to my gallery once a user authenticates? My main concern is that most of my users are techies and I know their not going to find the login button on the upper right. I already inserted code to load the login.php after albums.php loads but most popup blockers will kill that window. Any help!
