snapple,

i knew that, but now i can fix it for you because now i can see what the problem is!

your relativeG2Path is wrong and that's your problem, you have a strange setup for your site, not very logic any way, you have to manualy change this in your
/administrator/com_gallery2/config.php file

it should be like: ../../DHstuff/gallery2 or something
why is your mambo directory so deep and not in root?

this will be no problem after a fix in Gallery2 and i have used this change in the component. For now try to find the correct setting for relativeG2Path, good luck

I think I am suffering from a similar problem. The integration module installed fine and works, but I cannot see any images.

These are my settings in mambo:
Full Path to Gallery G2: /home/coreysm/public_html/pictures/
Relative path to Gallery G2: ../pictures

Here are all my paths:

mambo: /home/coreysm/public_html/mambo
gallery2: /home/coreysm/public_html/pictures/

web:

mambo:
mambo.coreysmall.com
or
www.coreysmall.com/mambo

gallery2:
pictures.coreysmall.com
or
www.coreysmall.com/pictures

Also I do not have a config.php in my administrator/components/com_gallery2 directory?
I am not sure why i don't, but I saw you guys talking about editing that file.

Versons:
Mambo: 4.5.2
mod_gallery2: 2.0.6
Gallery: G2B3

EDIT:
I also noticed this url difference on the properties of an image:
here it is on gallery by it slef:
http://pictures.coreysmall.com/main.php?g2_view=core:DownloadItem&g2_itemId=433&g2_serialNumber=2

now in mambo:
http://pictures/main.php?g2_view=core:DownloadItem&g2_itemId=433&g2_serialNumber=2

zyurph,

you haven't set your embed path correctly

embedPath should be /mambo/ not /

and will you're add it update to latest core of mambo and you will loose the "//" in your urls to! You can get it at http://galleryupdates.jpmullan.com/G2/

I have tried to put /mambo/ for my embedPath, but it tells me that it is invalid.

Also I am trying to update gallery as you suggested, but I can't change the language from dutch to English. It just changes right back when I select stingily. I know this doesn't apply to this topic, but I will repost in the right forum.

zyurph,

it shifts back to dutch?
in globalsettings>>locale
what do you have at Country Locale:
try setting it to /mambo or change it in the database table #__gallery2

I got it figured out, I just needed to clear my cookies. Also I moved mambo install to my website root, and ran G@ install from coreysmall.com/pictures instead of pictures.coreysmall.com, and now all is working good now.

Thanks for you help:

my paths are now:
/home/coreysm/public_html/pictures/
pictures
/

Now sidebar stoped showing up, it always seems to be something.

I don't even seem to be able to find the correct full path, which in my opinion should be easy!
I'm running MSAS (local mambo server) with mambo 4.5.2.
Server path = wwwroot
mambo testsite = http://localhost:85/Mambo452
I've made a folder named 'gallery' in the root of my mambo testsite
so the absolute path to my gallery should be: http://localhost:85/Mambo452/gallery right? Or wrong?

bashil,

wrong, that the url not the server path ;)

it should be i think, /wwwroot/Mambo452/gallery/ and i think you have to start with a drive letter? i work on a apple so i can't install msas to check this maybe a other msas user can help him?
