perhaps with
GalleryEmbed::init()
GalleryEmbed::getSystemContent();

i'd have to look into it.

I would like to integrate Albumtree in mambo sidebar, is this possible??

it's on our long term todo list, but you can't get it at the moment.
getSystemContent was removed and a replacement based on the new blocks system is not yet available.
