Ok I think I have figured out why when I enable mod_rewrite I get page not found when I click on an album. I did a search on mod_rewrite on the net and got pages that talk about setting up a rule set in the .htaccess file. I am not very clear on what rule settings I need to have in there to get the links to work correcty on my site as in when I click on an album it gives me the short link to the page instead of the long one.

Thanks for any help you guys could give me.

BTW If it is too much of a hassel to do this then I can and will learn to live with the long URL's. I just thought this would be kinda cool to do.

Hi SoXx.
Gallery puts these rules into your .htaccess when you run the Configuration Wizard, provided it detects mod_rewrite (listed on the first page).

When you've gone through all the way, the correct rules should be in there. If you think they're not working correctly, please give us a URL to your gallery as well as show us the contents of your .htaccess file. That way we can check that the correct rules were generated.
