Hi,

I've got Gallery 1.5 working embedded in PHPBB2 through the Gallery contrib module - and it's working a treat!

I'd like to take this to the next level, 'cos the embed really only achieves one of the things I want to do and that is merge the authentication from gallery into PHPBB2.

My next requirement is to have a PHPBB2 forum that updates automatically when new pictures are added to the gallery. I've figured out the URL that uses the stats module to provide the latest 5 pics in the format I want, but even if I just embed that some way into a forum it won't do it in an ideal way.

Ideally the gallery forum flag should show new postings since my last visit if a new picture has been uploaded.

Has anyone done something like this - or have any ideas on how to do it?

We have a php plus and we are searching a method how to include a login function with the data of the phpbb databace into the galery so the register members of the php could login with the same data into the gallery. THe non registered members Wont have access there.
This could be done?

I'm not entirely sure what you're wanting to integrate - it's not clear to me from your post. However, do note that proper embedding is scheduled to be available in Gallery 2 which is in beta at this stage.

If you're wanting Gallery 1.x embedded in another application - then the best I can advise is to hack it together yourself or find some help in the community of the application you're wanting to embed it in. There's a fair chance that someone else has done it or can help you do it.
