Hi,
I have some private photos, I would like to upload to my Galleries.
I found out via snort that my ISP is sniffing/inpecting all of my http traffic with a tool, I keep receiving (http_inspect) Bare Byte Unicode Encoding flags.
Which are only generated by hand or, by a tool.
The IP generating the flags comes back to my ISP.
So, I can only surmise they are sniffing/logging my traffic.
For some people, if certain photos were to fall into the wrong hands, or be disseminated publicly, it could be a recipe for ruin.
I am wondering if there are any plans to provide for encrypted uploading of photos?
I for one, would like to see it offered via Gallery, as well as in email.
Gallery would then be the first to offer such a security feature.
But, then email is another matter all together.
Thanks for reading this,
I hope someone takes it into serious consideration.
peace,
haans :D

This would probably make a better G2 suggestion... but... as an interum measure, why not run your site on http and https, then just switch to https for file uploads? Or you could of course make your entire site https. I think that'd solve it w/o any actual dev work.
Having a "secure" upload option that would kick uploads over to https might be a good idea though.
When using https, are file uploads encrypted?

It sounds like you need to invest in an SSL certificate and run your server securely.
HTTPS is the only encryption that browsers support.
