hello, is there a way to display "the amount of comments" or "last comments date" under each root album as in the older version of gallery (version 1, ...)? thank u in advance PS: If you don't know please dont reply as this issue maybe considered solved. |

Well, not in this thread.
In the PG theme, when you are viewing all of the albums, underneath where it says how many views there are for the album, it also says how many comments there are for the album.
How do we get this to display using the Matrix theme? Or any other theme for that matter...

an unmodified matrix theme shows already the nr of comments for each item in the album view under each thumbnail. if an item has 0 comments, it shows nothing. if there's 1 or more comments for the item, it shows # comments

not true. if you go to my gallery, you will see that this feature is not working.
for instance, this picture has one comment, but it not showing this on the main album page.

shows the nr of comments for each album.
i realize that i misunderstood your question. you want the sum of all comments for albums, not the nr of comments per item.
that would be a feature request. http://sf.net/projects/gallery/ -> RFE.
you can customize your theme to show the nr of comments for each album, but not recursively (you could do that, but without caching, it's too slow). thus a feature request would be more appropriate.
