Gallery Remote for Cell Phones

Hi,

Has anyone given any thought to a gallery remote version for cell phones? I recently thought about downloading the sony ericsson Java SDK to see what would be involved in developing it myself, but if something already exists, why re-invent the wheel...

Personally, I think it would be really neat to upload pictures to my albums directly from my phone.

There isn't anything like that available now. There is something for some Nokia models, but as far as I know it's not java.

An addition like this would be awesome, especially for G2 :)

This would be exactly what I came checking out the forums for today... Really an excellent idea. I've been looking for an alternative to my own "phone -> mail -> script -> save in directory" solution. But I haven't even found a decent FTP client for Java mobile phones. Only things like the Symbian based YFTP.

Unfortunately i'm not much of a real programmer myself, but I know my way around computers, webservers and G1 and G2 both standalone and embedded and I'll be happy to help in any other way to get a project like this aff the ground.
