I am having problems logging in as 'admin' also. This is a fresh install of G2b3 (haven't even been able to log in at all). I've referenced the config.php file. I've cleared cookies. I've tried using IE & Firefox. No luck. Help Please.

you managed to install G2 beta 3 successfully?
and you tried logging in numerous times, cleared the GALLERYSID cookie in your browser etc?

if you use the rewrite module, please deactivate and uninstall the rewrite module, remove .htaccess.
clear the GALLERYSID cookie again. try again to login.

if the problem persists, deactivate the rewrite module and please pm me a user/pw such that i can see it for myself.

"you managed to install G2 beta 3 successfully?" - Apprently, No errors during install.

"and you tried logging in numerous times, cleared the GALLERYSID cookie in your browser etc?" Yes, using both IE & firefox

I did not install the rewrite module (url_rewrite???). How do you verify module status without admin access?

i received a pm with a user/pw but the pw was obviously wrong. are you sure you're trying to login with the correct password? if not, you get a red warning from G2 telling you that it is wrong.

@BDMagee: i had the same problem...first i tried to find out the admin password which is written in "config.php" in the g2 folder...in my case although i had the pw i was not able to enter the admin control panel.. so then i deleted the whole g2 folder and uploaded the original version again...than i ran the conf wizard..after that everything worked fine..

when you complete the installer the setup password in config.php will match your admin password; however, you can later use G2 to change your admin password to something different.. this will not affect config.php.

First - Thank you for the help.

The password is correct. I've verified within config.php. Since I haven't been able to login at all (not one time since install), the password should be the same as set during installer set-up.

If this doesn't get very far, I'll try the reinstall.

BDMagee, the password you sent me in the pm is wrong. else, i wouldn't receive the error message that the password is wrong...

reinstalling might help, but i don't know if you really try to login with the correct password...
