Hi all. I'm trying to move my gallery from one server to another, and I got everything working right so far except for thumbnails. I've read mixed articles saying this is a known issue and a few saying this is fixed. So...what's the deal? When I moved to the new server, I lost all my thumbnails. When I try to generate new ones, I don't get any...I just get the "broken image" logo. Any ideas? Thanks!

Which procedure are you referring to? How to move to a new server? I've done that. The only thing I did differently was I'm waiting to get teh hosting company to change ownerships for me...so I've tried for the time being setting every file under g2data to 777 (yes...i know this is not a good thing to do...I'm just experimenting) and it still doesn't work. If it really really needs to be owned by apache, then I'll have to wait I guess.

@no new thumbs:
have you deactivated AND uninstalled all G2 toolkits (imagemagick, GD, ...) and then tried to install + activate them again?
this is described in thr FAQ entry...

@no existing thumbs:
have you changed the g2data path in your config.php or run the installer again to update config.php?

My apologies, I did not see those in the list..guess I didn't read close enough. Yes, I ran the installer again. I just tried uninstalling and reinstalling the ImageMagick module, and I get this error:

Warning: is_dir(): Stat failed for /root/bin/ (errno=13 - Permission denied) in /home/apache/sites/mediamanrit.com/public_html/gallery/modules/core/classes/GalleryPlatform.class on line 180
.

Thanks for the help.

you should ask your isp where imagemagick is installed. you need then to enter this path to the imagemagick config in G2. same for the other image toolkits that require a path.

Ok...if I "ignore" the error, go back to the modules page, I can then activate it, and it already has the right path in it. Thanks for the help!
