Put gallery into debug mode, try a form based upload, and post the results here. Also, fill out the required information template you erased when you made your post, it makes our job alot easier, especially for those of us whose mind reader cards are on the blink.

This is what I get in debug mode
Doing the naming
Image Preprocessing
Resizing/compressing original image
Resizing Image: /www/b/i/bikeflat.com/htdocs/albums/users/nycflyer.jpg
Warning: getimagesize(/www/b/i/bikeflat.com/htdocs/albums/users/nycflyer.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/b/bikeflat/htdocs/gallerya/util.php on line 533
Getting Dimension of file: /www/b/i/bikeflat.com/htdocs/albums/users/nycflyer.jpg
The file does not exist ?!
No resizing required
Adding Photo to the photo list
Warning: getimagesize(/www/b/i/bikeflat.com/htdocs/albums/users/nycflyer.jpg): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/b/bikeflat/htdocs/gallerya/util.php on line 1023
Call to getimagesize() failed in valid_image() for file /www/b/i/bikeflat.com/htdocs/albums/users/nycflyer.jpg!
Error: Invalid image: nycflyer.jpg

What OS/Distro is the server running on? The paths make me believe it's not really winxp.
Is there room on the temp directory you have set? Is it chmod 777? What size are the files you're uploading? Do any get through or is it the same no matter what you upload?
