When running embedded mode, it appears that the upload applet incorrectly sets the directory to locate Gallery2.. (Maybe from the G2 session cookie, thus why the applet will be failing??) Gallery Remote can find no protocol implementation at the URL http://devtest.ozgreg.com/. Check with a web browser that http://devtest.ozgreg.com/ is a valid Gallery URL. The applet works fine in standalone, just fails when running as part of an embedded session.. |

didn't the search function yield some hits for this problem? upload applet / GR both don't work in embedded G2.
and it has nothing to do with sessions or cookies.

Firstly Valiant, the topic you are referring to actually is not posted in the G2 support forum it is hidden in the G2 Development Forum which I did not check because I made a reasonable assumption by checking the G2 support and G2 Customization forums since the G2 General Development is not for tech support or error resolution.
Secondly I had mentioned this issue to bharat and he was unaware of this issue and suggested I posted this to the G2 Support Forum, which I did..
Valiant, I appreciate the help you have given the WPG2 project, however this time I felt your post was way out line.

i'm sorry if you felt my post was a little harsh, it certainly wasn't meant that way. i posted it 30 minutes after i woke up and i didn't sleep too well.
when i read my post, i see three sentences. they are not intended as an offence or something like that. i tried to answer as short as possible with facts.
@support / error resoltion in g2 dev forum:
if i search for g2 issues, i just limit the search results to the G2 category, not a specific g2 forum...
the g2 forums aren't as organized as one could think
and yes. i'd also like if GR / upload applet worked correctly in embedded G2, this should have a pretty high priority. i'll take a look at the G2 part of the problem in +2h, i assumed the problem was only on the java side.

ozgreg, there are multiple issues involved.
1. wrong path, solved by this change: http://gallery.menalto.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=27133&highlight=applet
-> easily solved.
2. can't add items to the upload item (upload would work i guess, because i don't get any "can't find G2" error message anymore.
-> can't explain that one. probably java code involved.

Thanks Valiant, sorry for the delay in posting back, I been bunked down with a client being unreasonable and getting hung out to dry over it..
