crop feature

I tried using the crop feature in gallery remote...

I selected each image and highlighted the area that I wanted.

Then clicked upload. But the images that get uploaded are always uncropped. Ideally what I'd like is the option to have a heavily cropped image for the thumbnail (just showing the most interesting part), then be able to occasionally crop the main image.

But being able to just crop the bad parts off images would be okay.

Anyway, am I using gallery remote correctly. What does it / can it do when it works?

Can you attach your GR log of trying to crop, then upload an image?

I'm finding that I'm having a similar problem when using Gallery Remote. I crop the picture, select another thumb-nail, go back to the thumb-nail I cropped, and see that it is still cropped. But when I upload the picture(s) to the site, the image I cropped shows up whole.

I'll add that I'm choosing to upload using GR (Java) and not doing the upload on the server-side.

Re a log file, where will I find this?
