[SOLVED] having problems with URL Rewrite for G2

Try to get the URL Rewrite to work but I getting the follewing msg from g2.

Apache mod_rewrite is not installed or not enabled.

if I run /modules/rewrite/test/mod_rewrite/gallery2/Rewrite.txt it tells me

FAIL_NO_REWRITE

I would say that the mod is not config or enable, but I have gallery 1.5 running on the same server & it it rewriting with out any problems that I can see.

Gallery version: g2 b2 holy hand grenade
Webserver (with version): Apache 2.0.53
Datatabase (with version): MySQL 4.0.24
PHP version (eg 4.2.1): 4.3.11
Operating system: Windows 2003
Web browser/version: IE6
G1 version (for migration bugs): 1.5

Make sure the Gallery directory has AllowOverride FileInfo Options

This gives me a 500 error.
