this error isn't not from an upgrade page.
have you successfully upgraded and after the upgrade you received this error?

the last message we see:

Quote:
Unimplemented: GalleryEntity, RandomHighlightDerivativeImage

-> was the randomhighlight module corrupted during upgrade? or was it just deactivated?

in README.html you can find direct links to login and site admin.. use those to try to get to Site Admin / modules and see if you can activate random highlight module.
(if that module upgrades successfully there shouldn't be any more RandomHighlightDerivativeImage.. it now uses a different mechanism)

NEVER MIND>..

I am stupid ;0-

I figured out what I did when I looked at the upgrade Module page again. I clicked on the right link when I wanted to click on the left link (to actually upgrade) trying to move fast without reading.

However now that I have that up... I get broken pictures of all my old Gallery's and when I login as admin and go to My account or Site admin I get this:

maybe clear your browser GALLERYSID cookies and try to login again.

Nope..

tried it on two browers and same thing.

I would like to avoid re-install.

I did delete all the sessions files as well.

try updating to current cvs/nightly build, then clear all cookies once more and try again. if it still doesn't work you'll have to give us more information.. all we can tell from what you posted is that when you clicked "your account" it thinks you're a guest.

Got Gallery2-2005-04-30.tar and did the update.
core is now 0.9.14

I killed the GALLERYSID cookies - cleared the cache
then went to my gallery: bich.bounceme.net/gallery2

click login, put in the admin user/password
This time it says welcome %s site admin, my account, logout.

I click Site Admin and get:
Security Violation error:

Error Detail -
Error (ERROR_PERMISSION_DENIED) :
in modules/core/classes/helpers/GalleryUserHelper_medium.class at line 209 (SiteAdminView::error)
in modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class at line 490 (SiteAdminView::assertSiteAdministrator)

The other problem is:
1) it is not showing the thumbnails
2) it is now showing the theme
