Stuck in step 5, fresh install

Hi All

Gallery version: latest G2 downloaded yesterday
Webserver (with version): IIS 6
Datatabase (with version): mysql-noinstall-4.1.11-win32
PHP version (eg 4.2.1): php-5.0.4
phpinfo URL (optional): unknown
Graphics Toolkit(s): unknown
Operating system: windows 2003 server
Web browser/version: IE 6, Firefox
G1 version (for migration bugs):

When I click save page does nothing

define "does nothing".
isn't there a message that your db login information is incorrect?

no message or errors, just the page refreshes with former entered info about the database...

IIS error log?
Under the event viewer I see nothing about any errors with IIS

just updated to latest mySQL 4.1 but still the same.
any other ideas?
