mambo can't find install file

I just installed mambo 4.5.2.1 and Gallery 1.4.4, tried to embed in mambo but I get this error: but the path is correct and the gallery.xml file is there. Any idea what might be wrong? I tried different browsers and two different PCs, no luck. FTP shows me that the files are where they are supposed to be and the path above is correct as far as I can tell. Page two of gallery config shows for example: I'm confused.... Thanks for any hints! Oliver |

well, it took me a while, but I seem to have found the sollution in this thread:

I used the zip file from there and got gallery to show up. Maybe the instructions inside gallery need updating? I guess something with the xml file is wrong? I really have no idea how mambo uses those files, just a guess.
now let's see if I can get into the admin section

Gallery 1.4.4 does not have 'official' support for Mambo 4.5.1 due to the install problem. Mambo updated their installer format.
As you found, using the new xml file works fine.

I'm on mambo 4.5.2.1, but the non-support probably still is true?

do you know if mambo will be supported again in the future?
