"Edit thumbnail" applet works, doesn't save?

Everything with Gallery seems to be working great, I have thumbnails, etc, and I can even do the "Edit thumbnail" and the java applet comes up, and I can pick the size and everything, but I can't seem to get that to take effect. ie. I can't find an "ok" or "submit" or anything. Am I missing something? My server isn't publicly available to provide a URL, but if this turns out to be difficult, I can change that temporarily.
