Competitors to Gallery

We are evaluating Photo management software for company use and I am pushing for the use of Gallery. However, interestingly, I am not able to fine any off-the-shelf paid software that are a competition to Gallery. So I am guessing Gallery is a leader in 'online photo management software' - would it be fair to say that?


Is there any competition to Gallery from other open-source/free/paid software. If so, can you name some?

Thanks very much in advance. Amy help is appreciated. I like Gallery very much and hope Ill be able to convince my company to use it.

I've moved your topic, since it isn't related to Gallery development.

You're not the first one to search for the "best gallery". There are numerous photo collection software packages, free and non-free. For open source software, use the search function on www.sf.net and www.freshmeat.net.

You are asking this question in the forums of gallery.menalto.com. What kind of answer do you think you will get from us? :)

Thanks for the links. I have looked at those, but honestly, I cannot find any resource for a comparitive study about online photo sharing scripts such as Gallery, Photopost, Etc. I use Gallery myself and believe that we are the best, but I was hoping for more information to support this claim. Thanks anyways and sorry about posting this on the wrong forum.
