my gallery is pretty much all of the pictures my friends and I take. I think it would be cool if instead of just listing all the dates with a thumbnail, they are arranged to look like a calendar, so its sectioned off by each month and its layed out like a calendar (sun -> sat), each square for each day has a thumbnail, and under it is the sub albums. This would be a great skin, although im not sure it can be done. any insight would be great |

it can be done, with a custom layout.

when you make a new sub album would you be able to choose the date and have it goto that square in the calendar? how would i go about doing that into a custom layout

is that necessary? each item (images, albums, ...) has a creation and a modification timestamp. when building the calendar page, you sort and arrange it by date. when showing the subalbum pages, you choose what you want to display.

or if you want a user-pickable date use originationTimestamp.. you can set this in edit album / General tab. it defaults to when the album was created.

when it comes to adding your day into the calendar, it would probably have to be user pickable, because if your day goes from 5pm to 3am, all the pics should go under the 5pm date despite them actually being 2 days. Unless it were to grab the data from only the first image. here is how im imagining it in my mind:

well i guess more what i was looking for was is it even possible to do? i have very little experience modding/programming anything, so before i blindly try to make something do you guys think its possible to create a calendar template and then whatever date you enter thats where the pics go in the calendar?
