Hi folks, you ever tried "Turck MMCache for PHP" together with G2? Check this out: I setup mmcache with no customization for the gallery, but it loads ~3-4times faster. Even the thumbs-loading is extremly fast. You may check it at my site: cheers doc |

sure, we recommend PHPA or turk mm cache whenever someone complains about the performance. |

My gallery (with about 6000 pics) runs with eAccelerator at http://www.volgger.com on a 1.6 GHz P4 768MB RAM 1x17GB SCSI for /root and 1x34GB SCSI for /home (where the gallery lives). My connection is a DSL 768 kBit. So have a look and decide if it's worth installing eAccelerator (or Turck MMCache). Greetz from Vienna RaVen |
