Can I do this? Rename the directory?

Can I simply change my directory name of where my gallery is?

For instance I have this currently.
http://www.dirtyjeeps.com/gallery2/main.php

I want
http://www.dirtyjeeps.com/gallery/main.php

Can I simply rename the directory or do I need to reinstall it?

just change it. if your g2data is within the gallery2 directory, you have to change the according line in the config.php file. and if you use the url rewrite module, first deactivate it / uninstall it. change the dirname. install/activate the url rewrite module again.

also look at the bottom of config.php and correct the galleryId (though this only matters if you will use a multisite config sometime in the future)
