when I downloaded 1.5-RC2, I got a ".tar.tar" file vice a ".tar.gz"

when I go to untar, I get "Archive contains obsolescent base-64 headers" error, and when I rename the file to ".tar.gz" I get "tar: z: Cannot open: No such file or directory" errors.

Not that proficent on Linux, and tried a couple of mirror sites, all have .tar.tar

not sure what to do next...

rarmy

How did you download them, they seem to be fine when I download them from here?

I get this sometimes with tar.gz downloads. I usually rename the file to tar.gz and it seems to work OK.
