RAW Files

Mentioned this before, but will bring it up again.

What would be REALLY helpful is to have a mechanism that allows Gallery to handle an original file, the thumb and sized version, and also the ability to upload another file that one could "associate" with the image.

The reason I say that is for instance, I use cameras that have a RAW format. Gallery would be a perfect platform for not just display, but also as a library or storage. I cannot express how important this could be. I have museums who are interested in Gallery, but there needs to be a way to assocaite thumb/sized/original with a 4th file... a RAW file. All controlled by permissions of course. And you can do this by creating a link and placing it in the Comment fields. But that is really akward.

Somehow, some way, creating the ability to upload TWO files... the viewable original, but also whatever RAW, or print capable, or whatever file that needs to be associated with it. So with the right permission, some could see a link inside the drop down menus for an image, that says "Download RAW file", or something like that.

This is a really important but missing funciton in all online galleries. It would be very cool to have something like this. I can say there are many institutions, and artists, and photographers, that consider this really important, and really missing.
