(I'm assuming that the following request all depends on how these services accept image orders from other websites...)

Currently, Gallery 1.x supports ordering prints with Shutterfly... How about oFoto, SnapFish, ClubPhoto, PhotoWorks or Zing? It would be nice for Gallery users to get referral credit for people that order prints from their Galleries.

Hmmm... Perhaps the default settings could give Gallery developers referral credit when using these services...

Has anyone out there explored the possiblity of modifying the code to allow ordering from other online photo developers?

Most of those services don't provide an external shopping cart, so Gallery can't work with them. Shutterfly is one of the few services that makes this possible. If you find another service that provides an external shopping cart like Shutterfly's, we'll get it into G2.

Are the developers getting some kickback for using shutterfly now? If so that is perfectly okay with me and I wont persue this question since you guys definitely deserve and money you make from the prints.

If not, we wanted to use a service like eframes (they offer a measly 10% commission but it aint my choice) and was wondering if shuterfly does the same thing.

Anyone know?

Sadly, Shutterfly blew us off the last time we asked. We might ask again when we get G2 in gear (30-40K websites has got to start sounding tasty to Shutterfly). But right now we get zip, zero, zilch, nada from them.

I have been reading up on Gallery and have a few questions about the print feature with Shutterfly. I know that Shutterfly allows you to set a price over their own so that you can collect profits off of your photos using their API. Does Gallery allow a website to use this feature with Shutterfly? Or does the print feature in Gallery just provide an outlet for users to get photos with no one but Shutterfly making a profit?
