admin login failed after clean setup

After a (few) clean setups, (including deleting datadir, dropping database) of G2, i am not able to login as admin.
Setup of G2 was flawless, downloaded 19 feb 2005.

When entering a wrong pwd, G2 says so. Entering the correct pwd, it returns no error or message, and G2 displays the top level gallery (welcome guest).

When trying to display the phpinfo page, also the password is also not accepted.

any suggestions?

System is a (very slow) old test system

Try making sure that there's no session id in the url when you try to log in. I think you might be hitting the bug outlined here:

Yip,

It is the same issue.
After clearing cookies/restart IE, I could login again!
Stil I can't use the phpinfo.php / test page. I assume this is a related issue.

It's been a while since I have last checked G2 in a test install.
It is looking great! Keep up the good work!
